Play It Again, Sam

Man, I missed you guys. (-:

I really did.

Welcome to the 5th annual Winter Solstice Countdown!

And for those of you who are joining us for the first time, it’s great to have you along for our adventure. We’ve got 30 days of exploration together, and it starts today.

In simple terms, let’s just think of this as a soup-to-nuts journey where we’ll make 30 different stops along the way. We’ll discuss everything from books to movies to music to pivotal moments in history. And while we’re at it, we’ll walk through the good, the bad and the weird, all those things that make each of us who we are.

We’ll do all that, as we count down the days until the earth’s rotation takes us to the shortest day of the year. And the goal? To get to Winter Solstice 2024 and start our journey back to daylight. It’s ‘gonna be fun.

For all of you – returning guests and all you newbies – I want our time together to be interactive. So, I hope you’ll feel free to contact me whenever you like. Sounds a little corny, maybe, but none of this works without all of you.

Just email me @JLJFish56@gmail.com with thoughts you may have on any of the daily posts. Additionally, you can check out Winter Solstice 2024 on Www.JohnLFish.com. Just go to the WINTER SOLSTICE 2024 dropdown, the last one beneath the WRITING tab.

You can also follow along on Facebook and Linkedin. I’ll be posting our daily musings on both. (And if we’re not already connected on either/both of those, please send me an invite.)

Yep, it’s that time again. And I’m really psyched to hang out with all of you.

May the countdown begin.

PS Thought you guys might like to see proof that with a little luck, some persistence and a cast iron skull, a sexagenarian can still manage to change out a flat tire!
